Hotel prices for back street service Go a few yards away for a better meal out of a box. The walk will be well worth the effort. As the licencee has no catering skills

Very poor service for meals walk a few yards to the quay and even if it's raining you will get a better meal out of a box

Reasonable beer but a distinctly public-toiletesque pong and stunted atmosphere. Music intermittent and a likely pelt over the head with a drool-ridden dog toy marred my experience. I suspect when busier this will improve.

The Kings Head is one of the few traditional '' locals'' of Poole town. Its warm friendly atmosphere and hearty welcome make it a must visit. The large sheltered garden to the rear is well maintained and spacious. Try quaffing in the afternoon sun, or enjoying the peace and quiet. It is also ideal for families with children and pets. The Conservatory Dining area is bright and airy, and please check out the various piece's of art dotted around, they are most interesting. The Kings Head also does a wide range of hot meals, freshly made sandwiches, salads and light bites to cater for everyone. There is a great selection of our very own Hall and Woodhouse ales which up to now have reached the highest results every time on our quarterly audits. So for a quiet chilled drink or a good old knee's up, game of Pool or Darts everyone is welcome. Dale & Nikki and the team are excellent hosts and welcome you into the local that is The Kings Head.

Full of history, character and with an ample selection of real ales, Ye Olde George Inn is the place to go if you want some old English charm.
