"Waitress there is a dead fly on our child's chip"
We arrived at the Halfway Inn about 4ish,nobody was there behind the bar to help us,10 minutes later somebody did come,No good evening no welcome invitation nothing and not only that but served somebody else who had just turned up!
We had been there before a couple of years ago and had a good meal, that's why we tried it again, big mistake!
Our 3 year old had Fish and Chips from the Children's menu ans as the title says,It came with a dead fly on one of the chips. I told the waitress discreetly and she said that either I could have another meal or a refund,we went for the refund.
The dead fly though was not removed from the table and stayed there for 20 minutes when I had to mention it was still there. What is even worse is that the manager who served us could not even be bothered to apologies to us and sent the waitress over with the money instead of doing it himself.
My wife and I had something to share so we went for the Mezze Board, this was meant to share!
You get less then half a pitta bread, a couple of small pieces of other bread, then just 3 small bits of Tzaitzike and the smallest pots of Houmous I have ever seen! at a whopping cost of £7.45!! this was not enough for even one person let alone to share!
When we left, again nobody apologised about the dead fly on the chip.We will not be going there again
