St Andrews Church has once again been taken over and is now host to the super trendy V Club. Appealing to the up and coming of Bournemouth, and students who love a cheap drink, this club has well and truly made its mark.

The Venue
This grade II listed church on Exeter Road is well known in Bournemouth and was, for the past few years, the Landmarc Theatre. While it's slightly out of the way of the clubbing strip of St Peter's Road, it is close enough to the rest of Exeter Road to attract clubbers looking for a more sophisticated experience. And the fully retained church exterior can't really be missed.

The upper level of the club houses the prestigious VIP area overlooking the main dance where the rabble get to enjoy the full experience of the high church ceiling. The acoustics in the church are an experience like no other and with the size of the sound system, V Club is guaranteed to leave your ears ringing!

The People
V Club attracts an older, more stylish customer base than other Bournemouth clubs, and it generally avoids promotions appealing to under 21s and aims at capturing a classy, professional group of regulars.

There's free entry for women on Saturday nights (excluding their Hed Kandi events) so there's a fair few females in here. Staff are veterans on the Bournemouth scene and are nothing short of totally professional in what is essentially a very busy club.

The Music
Monday hosts Re:Vision with DJ Chris Connor. He's a talent not to be scoffed at, hitting out hard house tunes alongside some old school trance classics for a level diversity in the club.

After losing Crank the students have been floundering without a place for cheap drinks and brilliant tunes to kick start their week, and V Club have filled this hole with Re:Vision.

On Fridays there's urban music with different line-ups every month and Saturday is house music with a monthly offering of their exclusive Hed Kandi sets. This, coupled with with an enormous sound system, ensures that a night here will blow you away.

The Drink
Monday nights are £1.50 bar, with every drink (excluding champagne) being set at this price - an obvious crowd pleaser! Premium prices apply on Fridays and Saturdays, with a huge range of popular lines such as Smirnoff Vodka and Jack Daniels and some sought after spirits such as Absolut Vodka and Bombay Sapphire. Prices are what you expect from this high-end club.

The Last word
V Club is fast becoming a key figure in the Bournemouth night scene, catering for students and professionals alike. It provides a classy atmosphere in a beautiful setting with fantastic service and an even better sound system.
