Worst restaurant service I have ever experienced. Does not even merit one star. Two of the meals we ordered were unavailable, and instead of apologizing, the chef was defensive and made rude remarks and then told us to leave if we were just going to complain... So we did.. No wonder they had no other clients in there. Avoid this place.

Having looked at the website the menu was for Winter 2011 , surely this could be updated we decided to give it a go . What a disappointment , there was a poor choice on the menu and ended up having a sandwich which came with chips , it looked like chef emptied out the bag and cooked all the bits that quite frankly were only fit for the birds, won't be going there again needless to say.

We had a lamb curry here but with hardly any lamb - plenty of onion plus loud detailed accounts of the young staff's personal life. When we complained about the food we were ignored so will not be returning. On a positive the decor was good.

I am a regular drinker here and i often bring the family to have a meal. The drinks are reasonably priced, the food is delicious and the local drinkers are very friendly. The fact that in the winter its warmed by the open fire and in the summer the doors are left open and people enjoy the sunshine in the garden makes this pub a popular one at that!
