A fresh juice bar that’s got a delicious set of fruit concoctions to give customers a fabulous health kick.

The Venue
In the middle of Commercial road, Smooth Connection is a healthy haven for all thirsty shoppers in the area. For a refreshing break, step inside the lime green walls and perch on a simple red stool to view the selection.

The seating space is small so many grab and go, but if you do get a seat they’re a comfy spot to watch the world go by. With functional furniture, upbeat techno music and minimalist decor, this juice bar has a youthful energy about it which lifts your spirits.

The People
The health-conscious types are the ones you’d expect to be here – from yummy mummies to hippie students - they all regularly pop in to pick up a brightly coloured drink to accessorize their outfit and also make them feel good.

However, there are also lots of different kinds of people who try this place out too, such as mothers wanting to give their children some vitamins, as well as retired couples who want a zing in their step again - everyone is made to feel welcome.

The staff are friendly and fun, making you feel at home and making your smoothie in front of your eyes in double quick time. Lots of students enjoy sitting round the tables, socialising over a fruit fix while avoiding their next essay or lecture, which gives a cool vibe to the place.

The Drink
The choice of juices will make your head spin, with so many combinations basically every fruit you can think of is covered.

You can go for a simply squeezed orange, apple or carrot juice for £1.45 to £2.45 (small or large) for the die-hard solo juice fans, or try the creamy yoghurt smoothies that use 97 per cent fat free yoghurt and have a thicker consistency leaving you more full (£2.45 to £3.45).

For £2.45 to £3.45 you can choose a yoghurt smoothie. If you need a liquid breakfast try Breakfast On The Run which mixes strawberry, mango, muesli, honey, skimmed milk and yoghurt.

If you prefer your juices without yoghurt, the uplifting selection from £2.45 to £2.95 will surely suit. For something different, try adding a shot of wheatgrass or acai for a £1 to your drink – these may sound like strange ingredients but they’re well-known superfoods that apparently boost your antioxidant levels to make you feel fabulous.

The Last Word
What seems like a basic cafe is actually a great juice bar with plenty of choice to help you on your way to five fruits and vegetables a day.
