What has happened to this place? Broken glass behind the bar. I went to use the mens toilets. No lock on door. No paper towels. Had to use disabled toilet. Filthy foor. No towels.

Love this place, even tho a few things were not available on the menu, the waiter went out of his way to impress with different options, and the chef rose to the occasion. Good work

Fantastic food and great atmosphere - have those other two reviewers got a personal grudge?

When I first visited this bar, I was impressed by the ambience, menu and pricing. That was however 5 years hence. Today (11/01/11) I visited for lunch and the whole experience was one of disappointment. I was the only patron in the bar between 12 noon and 2pm and this was not surprising considering the price hikes since my last visit. For lunch I ordered the club sandwich, and at £7.50 it's currently one of the less expensive options. Regrettably it did not arrive with all its constituent items as detailed on the menu, although what there was, was cooked to a high standard. Having ordered brown bread, it arrived with white bread toasted. Perhaps something lost in the translation between myself and the east-european bar staff. The toilet (gents) was less than satisfactory in cleanliness, having faeces smeared over the cubile doorframe. In summary it would appear that this bar wishes to relieve you of as much cash as possible for little quality.
